Fates Warning do not write music for the modern man, from Arch's vocal style that breaks free of the narrating via words, instead he uses a tactic similar to opera where he narrates via melody. The guitars are gorgeous, timeless, full of wonder, neo-classical melodies, harmonies... not really a hint of black and white emotions such as hate or love, happiness or despair; they belong in the realm of the eternity, where mortals dream to dare. All frame with free-flowing narrative song-structures, full of complex riff cycles.
